Subaru invests in U S

Its there so good that the brand plans to increase production to 2016 by 30 percent to increase. Next year though there are 30,000 more units of the bands in Indiana.
According to the Japanese newspaper Nikkei is Japan until 2016 about 20 billion yen, about 173 million, investment in manufacturing in Indiana. In the long run there is thus 30 percent more able to be produced.
Currently, each year 170,000 Subarus built and there are still about 100,000 Camrys of the band, which Fuji Heavy Industries for Toyota builds.

The production increase is necessary, since the demand for Subaru in the U.S. is much higher than anticipated. Last year, 330,000 units sold in the U.S., slightly less than half of total sales.
About half of U.S. cars, however, had come from Japan and the strong yen, the margin thus much smaller.
The relatively high value of the yen is for many Japanese brands reason to invest in overseas production. Include Mazda and Nissan to invest heavily in the establishment of new production facilities in North America, among others.
Subaru made last year, however, known more precisely their commitment to production in the home country. Large-scale foreign investment would not pay off in the long term, and then gave Fuji Heavy Industries as a reason.

You’ll also appreciate the efforts of Suzuki’s interior design team to install one of the better sports leather steering wheels in the Swift Sport with audio, cruise and Bluetooth controls. Apart from the seats, there is precious little soft touch materials used in Suzuki Swift Sport, but the general finish and a combination the various plastics looks good. While the Swift Sport isn’t a sprint star, 8.1 seconds from 0-100km/h in this class, is more than respectable. If the Swift Sport’s straight-line performance is perfect, then what has been achieved in the ride and handling department is no less than a revelation and a textbook lesson on chassis engineering in the light car class.
First up, there’s no body roll, regardless of how hard you push the Swift Sport and how tight the turn-ins are. Suzuki engineers have made some front suspension enhancements that have resulted in a better yaw response for faster and more direct steering.

Equally reassuring is the car’s straight-line tracking at high speed along a poorly maintained country road. Ford Launches New Mondeo with EcoBoost

After the Fiesta, Focus and C-Max is now the Mondeos turn to the 1.0 EcoBoost in the forecastle to get. With its bold new looks and economical powertrain success seems assured for the new Mondeo.
Although the styling of the new Mondeo us no longer surprised - in America he was already presented as Fusion - remains nice to see that Ford has dared to take risks with the new Mondeo. On the front we see the new trapezoidal grille that we have seen recently debut on the new Fiesta. This large air scoop and sharp headlights were earlier this year, comparisons with Aston Martin is not the air. Looking at the back we see here a sharper and sportier lines. The taillights are even reminiscent of the Maserati GranTurismo, no undesired compared. When you look at the profile of the new Mondeo looks is immediately on the line that begins at the headlights and side walks then seamlessly switch to the subtle rear spoiler.

EcoBoost
As expected from this new generation is the now familiar 1.0-liter EcoBoost engine in the brackets of the Mondeo. The Rogue gives buyers a low starting price and good fuel economy. The Rogue gets a mild refresh for 2011. The Nissan Rogue is available in front- or all-wheel drive.
Nissan hopped on the small crossover train belatedly in 2007 when it introduced the Rogue as a 2008 model. Instead of trying to rile controversy with its lines, the Nissan Rogue simply takes the generic CUV shape and spreads on a light Nissan flavor. While the overall design is slightly rounded, tricks like an up kicked C-Pillar and slightly wrapped headlights give the Rogue a familial flair.
Fortunately, Nissan has also thrown in a new set of stylish 17-inch, bifurcated five-spoke alloys that give the Rogues design a pulse. Our guess is that the buyer who wanders onto a Nissan lot in search of a Rogue is there for a few reasons: massive amounts of cargo, a tall seating position and a reasonable price. Particularly on the special front, the Nissan Rogue delivers admirably. Bluetooth hands-free calling also comes along for the ride, making for a decently well-rounded tech package given what the Rogue costs.
The Nissan Rogue could seriously benefit from an infusion of lighter colors, let alone higher quality materials. Even with the optional sunroof in our tester, the Rogue simply felt dreary from behind the wheel.
Each Rogue ships with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine putting out 170 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque. Our tester came with its engine kicking at the front tires only, and while a high-riding, low-horsepower CVT machine sounds like a perfect recipe for motoring brain damage, the truth is that Rogue is a decently capable little machine. Nissan has the benefit of utilizing one of the better CVT units available, and the box feels right at home behind the thrifty little four-cylinder in the Rogue. Perhaps the most surprising part about the Rogue is its price tag. Our mid-range SV model came riding fairly close to the vehicles $23,220 MSRP, though if youre really on a budget, the Rogue is also available in S trim at $20,810. If Nissan were to give the Rogue a slightly livelier exterior and an interior that doesnt feel like it was designed by someone with photophobia, the 2011 Rogue might be able to carve out a bigger niche for itself.
Nissan has mildly refreshed the Rogue for the 2011 line-up while we wait for the next generation to arrive. The top-selling CUV segment is already overcrowded so it was good to see a slightly refreshed Rogue from Nissan.
Nissan has always targeted a more mature audience with the Rogue and 2011 Rogue is no different. We thought the interior was OK considering the price bracket this vehicle is competing in. One of the major criteria for most CUV buyers is the amount of cargo space their vehicle can handle. Rogue really excels on this front by providing about 50+ cubic feet of storage space with the rear seats folded.
It is a really smooth riding vehicle that sits 4-5 adults comfortably while hauling enough cargo along. We think Nissan’s mildly refreshed Rogue is a nice bargain in this overly crowded CUV Segment.

Toyota and Lexus show off at Tokyo Auto Salon
You’ve seen the Toyota GRMN iQ Racing Concept (lucky you!), and now it’s time to divert your attention towards the rest of the Japanese automaker’s wares being shown off at the Tokyo Auto Salon.
First up is the Toyota Prius G Sports Concept, which features the kind of gaping maw only the Mama Cylon could love. Rounding out Toyota’s offerings is the TRD Auris GT Concept, which we think actually looks kinda nifty with its subdued body kit and blindingly bright yellow paint.
Lexus wasn’t left out of the proceedings either, and its machines are arguably more interesting than its mothership’s. There’s the F-Sport CT 200h (a future production model) taking center stage with its unique alloy wheels, body kit and Recaro seats, which is joined by the IS F Club Circuit Sports Racer and a set of Club Performance Accessories for the IS F that include front and rear spoilers and a carbon fiber hood.
Last but certainly not least is the Gazoo Racing Lexus LFA supercar that raced at last year’s Nürburgring 24 Hours race. See both sets of vehicular craziness in our high-res image galleries below, then check out all the details in the press releases after the break.

2014 Mercedes GLA spy

The GLA will be the fourth model that based on the new front-wheel drive (MFD - Mercedes Front Wheel Architecture) on the market. Besides the A-Class, B-Class and the beginning of 2013 to present CLA, these models, along with an unknown fifth body variant, the base of the new Mercedes-range. And thats pretty it expand its market share Mercedes. Never before was the manufacturer from Stuttgart since (as) strong performance in this segment.
Family Band
The Mercedes GLA adds not only a fourth model to the entry level range, but in addition it is also the youngest member in the family. Peugeot 3008 is already in it new
Three and a half years old, the Peugeot 3008 now. A facelift would be coming may be either an early or concerns.
On the Internet, this picture surfaced of a Peugeot 3008 with a different nose than the current model contains. New to us are some of the extended further back headlamps, a different grille and a different front bumper. More chrome too, it seems.

We doubt, however, whether the 3008 soon as our dealers will stand. Not in the least because the model regular facelift age - between 4 and 4.5 years - has not yet reached, but also because the photo was taken in China and Peugeot for the country-specific models are often late (re) drawing. For example, the snout of the Asian 508 also different from those of the European.
On the other hand we recognize this front is the contemporary family face lion brand which started with the 508 and the 208 which also is endowed. Should this be the new 3008 for all markets, then the chances are that Peugeot him at the Paris Motor Show drop.

2011 Infiniti EX gets numerous updates starts at 34 150
The biggest news for Infiniti’s 2011 model year lineup may be the all-new M sedan, QX56 SUV, G25 sedanand IPL G coupe, but that doesn’t mean the rest of the automaker’s portfolio sails into the new year unchanged. The smaller EX crossover/wagon thingie, for example, gets a host of new updates including a seven-speed automatic transmission, larger wheel choices and more standard technology.
Curiously, Infiniti is still offering the EX with its smaller 3.5-liter V6, even though the majority of its products now use the more powerful 3.7-liter mill. Still, with 297 horsepower on tap, the EX35 should continue to be a surprisingly engaging steer, and with a new seven-speed gearbox in place, fuel efficiency should be improved for 2011, especially in the all-wheel drive models.
From there, all EX models now come standard with 18-inch wheels (a 19-inch set is available with the Deluxe Touring Package), dual-zone automatic climate control and new exterior paint options including Arctic Blue (pictured). Other changes for 2011 include Active Blind Spot Warming being added to the EX’s technology package and a revised premium package that encompasses both the upgraded Bose audio system and around-view camera system.

Audi A1 as Connect equipped version now available

2012 Chrysler 200 Convertible photos leak out
Chrysler is set to debut the 2012 200 Convertible at the New York Auto Show in March, but through the magic of the Interwebs, the first crop of official images has already leaked out. The new 200 sedan isn’t a bad-looking car, and while the convertible’s design isn’t the most attractive creation (that rear end still looks plenty awkward), it’s certainly better than the outgoing Sebring.
Aside from the deletion of a fixed roof, expect the Chrysler 200 Convertible to be largely the same as its sedan counterpart, with interior refinement and engine choices all being carried over. This means that both the 2.4-liter inline-four and 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 should be underhood, and the end result is a cabriolet that, while better than the model it replaces, certainly won’t take your breath away.

Suzuki Adds New 1 6L Petrol and 1 9L Diesel to facelifted Grand Vitara 3d Range

After the launch of the facelifted Grand Vitara model range with the 166HP 2.4-litre engine in October 2008 (for details and photos, click here), Suzuki is now expanding its UK lineup with the addition of a 1.6L petrol and 1.9L diesel engine to the three-door model range. The 1.6-liter gasoline unit which is linked to a 5-speed manual gearbox, makes 106HP at 5,900 rpm and a peak torque of 145Nm at 4,100 rpm offering a 0 to 62mph (100km/h) sprint time of 14.4 sec and a top speed of 99mph or 159km/h.
The entry-level petrol model that comes with a four-wheel drive system as standard achieves a combined fuel economy of 34.5mpg UK or 8.2lt/100km in the European cycle.S
The second addition to the Grand Vitara 3d lineup is the 1.9-liter DDiS diesel unit. that produces an output of 129 horsepower at 3,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 300Nm at 2,200 rpm. The four-wheel drive model accelerates from standstill to 62mph or 100km/h in 12.8 seconds and achieves a top speed of 106mph (170km/h) while returning 40.4mpg UK or 7.0lt/100km in the combined European cycle.
As with the rest of the range, both models feature a revised front end treatment and new door mirrors with integrated turn indicators while interior changes include a new multi-information display and revised air conditioning control panel.
In the UK, the 1.6-litre three-door manual is priced from £13,600 while the 1.9 DDiS diesel starts from £16,200.

Chrysler 300 hybrid coming in 2013
Hybrids have been a mixed bag at Chrylser (remember the short-lived Durango and Aspen hybrids or the on-again-off-again Ram hybrid?), but a new report from Automotive News indicates that a gasoline-electric drivetrain is back on the table for the Pentastar automaker.
During this year’s Detroit Auto Show, Chrysler CEO Sergio Marchionne reportedly confirmed that hybrid power will be making its way under the hood of the updated 2011 Chrysler 300. This hybrid powertrain is expected to be mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and is earmarked for roll-out in 2013.
Hybrids are slowly becoming more and more popular amongst luxury automakers. Lexus already has an electrified version of its GS sedan – the GS 450h – and both Audi and BMW are working to bring hybrids to market in the mid-range luxury segment, too, via the 5 Series ActiveHybrid and A6 Hybrid.

Suzuki Splash Official Images Released

Following the revelation of Opel’s Agila earlier today, Suzuki released the first pictures of the Splash mini that will debut along with the Agila at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Theoretically, the Suzuki’s new mini which is based on the Swift platform is closely related to last year’s Splash Concept, however, design-wise we see very little in common between the two. Since the Agila is based on the Splash with very few optical differences like the redesigned front-end and rear light-clusters, there’s no difference in dimensions (3.740 mm in length, 1.680 mm in width and 1.590 mm in height). Likewise, the engine range will consist of three engines, two petrol 1.0 & 1.2-liter delivering 65 and 86 Hp respectively and one 1.3-liter common-rail turbodiesel with 75 Hp. The Splash is expected to go on sale in Europe next spring

With the Splash, a new fresh and exciting small passenger car, Suzuki Motor Corporation intends to gain a significant market share in this growing market segment in Europe. The new flexible compact car combines the sportiness of Suzuki’s successful model Swift with the technologies and immense know-how of the Japanese world market leader in the mini car segment. The Splash is not the successor of any specific former Suzuki model, but a brand-new concept to satisfy the needs of demanding European customers in terms of roominess, compactness, modern design, aerodynamics, quality, driveability, performance and environmental friendliness. The safety equipment encompasses state-of-the-art features such as six airbags and an Electronic Stability Program (ESP®*). It looks fresh, energetic, juvenile and emotional and thereby underlines the aspiration of its name Splash. Within the global growth strategy of Suzuki, the Splash is already the fourth entirely new model within three years after the launch of Swift, Grand Vitara and SX4 which all embody Suzuki’s unique ‘Way of Life!’-philosophy.
Within this market segment, the car convinces with a relatively tall body (1.6 metres) based on the chassis from the sporty Swift. With its overall length of 3.7 metres and width of 1.7 metres it offers an amply tall and comfortable roomy cabin with sufficient legroom for adults on all seats. Its modern design leads to excellent aerodynamic efficiency and consequently to low carbon-dioxide emissions.
The Splash will make its worldwide debut at the International Motor Show in September in Frankfurt am Main. Sales of the car with its excellent ride comfort will start as of spring 2008. It will be available with two different petrol engines: a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder, 12-valve unit with maximum power of 48kW (65hp) and a 1.2-litre, four-cylinder, 16-valve unit with maximum power of 63kW (86hp). With these engines, low friction and plentiful flat torque delivery at low and mid-range speeds help to ensure good driveability across the rev range while promoting fuel economy and limiting CO2 emissions. Customers preferring a diesel engine can choose a proven 1.3-litre, common rail, 16-valve unit with optional particulate filter and a maximum power of 55kW (75hp). In light of the growing need for environmental compatibility, emissions of all three engines with 5-speed manual gearbox are between only 120g/km and 140g/km. The petrol engines were both newly developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation as next-generation power engines. The diesel engine will be produced at Suzuki’s plant in India under licence from GM Powertrain Europe.
Suzuki aims to sell up to 60,000 units per year of the Splash in Europe. The brand-new model has been developed by Suzuki Motor Corporation and will be produced by its subsidiary company Magyar Suzuki Corporation in Hungary.
